France Congrès et Evénements has long led the field on matters of sustainable development, publishing its scalable and third-party certifiable Quality & Sustainable Development Charter as long ago as October 2010. Aimed at all venues hosting professional meetings and events, the charter is unique in combining quality of services with the sustainable development of the destinations concerned. 20 members of the network have already achieved certification.
The 25 charter commitments are built around the three inseparable pillars of sustainable development in order to:
- Enhance customer satisfaction
- Raise stakeholder awareness of and engagement with eco-responsibility
- Guarantee employee self-fulfilment and raise their skills levels
- Optimise risk management
- Limit the impact of operations on the environment
